Building a Safe and Respectful Studio Environment
1. Dress Code & Required Attire for Dance Classes
Proper dance attire and dance shoes are required for all dance classes. Attire requirements vary by class and level, and detailed specifications will be provided upon registration.

Students are expected to:

Wear appropriate dance attire and shoes for their class

Keep hair secured away from the face
-
Refrain from wearing dangling jewelry
-
Avoid chewing gum during class
-
Not wear Crocs or slides to class
​
Before & After Class
-
Students must wear cover-ups (shorts, shirts, skirts, etc.) over leotards when entering and exiting the building.
-
No exposed midriffs are permitted outside of class settings.
-
Street shoes must be worn outside the building.
-
Students may not enter or exit the building in dance shoes.

2. Arrival, Dismissal & Parking Lot Safety
Arrival and Dismissal​

Students should arrive no more than five minutes before class or rehearsal.
-
Students must be picked up promptly following dismissal.
-
Students must remain inside the building until picked up.
-
Parents/guardians are responsible for escorting students to and from vehicles.
For the safety of all students and families:
-
Please drive slowly and cautiously in the parking lot.
-
Be mindful of younger students and heavy traffic during peak hours.

3. Medical Authorization
​
By enrolling a student at Brittany Leazer Productions, parents/guardians:

Authorize BLP staff to seek emergency medical treatment if a parent/guardian cannot be reached.
-
Accept financial responsibility for any medical treatment administered.
-
Permit administration of basic over-the-counter medications when parent contact is possible.
​
4. Tuition, Registration & Financial Policies
​
Tuition Commitment: Enrollment in classes, rehearsals, productions, camps, and events constitutes a financial commitment for the applicable session, semester, or production period.
​
Weekly Class Withdrawal Policy: Families wishing to withdraw from weekly classes must provide a minimum of 30 days written notice.
​
If a payment is declined:

Families will receive an automatic email notification.
-
Payment must be resolved within 48 hours.
-
After 48 hours, a $20 service fee will be applied.
-
A member of our administrative team will follow up regarding the balance.
Refund Policy (Open School Shows & Camps)

Cancellations made after registration and up to one week prior to auditions will receive a 50% refund.
-
Cancellations made within one week of auditions or after auditions are non-refundable.
5. Front Desk Snack System
Snacks may be purchased during rehearsals and classes using:

Cash
-
iClass billing

Students are expected to log purchases honestly and accurately. Misuse of the snack system may result in loss of snack privileges.

6. Student Expectations & Conduct
Brittany Leazer Productions is a Christ-centered environment focused on excellence in both skill and character. We maintain high expectations because we believe students are capable of rising to them.
Students are expected to prioritize:

Respectful behavior and communication

Age-appropriate language

Leadership and focus during rehearsals and classes

Consistency in attendance
-
Preparation and personal responsibility

Positive attitudes and best effort
-
First-time obedience and cooperation
Personal relationships and conflicts should remain outside the studio environment.
Disciplinary Process: When necessary, disciplinary action may include:

Verbal warning

Parent meeting

Suspension
-
Possible expulsion

7. Casting & Student Communication
Casting decisions are made thoughtfully and carefully by our directing team. To maintain a healthy and respectful environment:

Staff will not respond to parent emails regarding casting decisions.
-
Students may request audition feedback directly from staff members.
-
Feedback conversations should focus on growth, development, and training rather than role dissatisfaction.
We ask families to support a culture of:

Students are encouraged to:

Take ownership of their schedules and commitments

Stay informed through TeamSnap and studio communications

8. Communication & Scheduling

Primary Communication Platforms: Our primary methods of communication are:

All scheduling updates, reminders, cancellations, and announcements will be communicated through these platforms.
Families are expected to:

Enable TeamSnap push notifications

Check TeamSnap and emails regularly

Review communications before contacting staff

Use TeamSnap chat for community questions when appropriate
A TeamSnap tutorial will be provided to families as needed.

9. Media Release
By enrolling, families grant permission for students to be photographed and/or recorded for marketing, promotional, educational, and archival purposes. All photos and video content are used solely by Brittany Leazer Productions/East Cobb Theatrical and are never sold externally.

10. Health, Liability & Risk Acknowledgement
By participating in classes, rehearsals, productions, camps, and events at Brittany Leazer Productions/East Cobb Theatrical, families acknowledge that:

Theatre and dance activities involve inherent physical risks, including illness and injury.

Brittany Leazer Productions/East Cobb Theatrical is not liable for injuries, accidents, or incidents that occur during participation.
-
Families voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in studio activities and events.
